PPR Career, Inc. is in search of a highly experienced and competent Network Security Engineer to join an organization that is very fast-paced and dynamic. Excellent customer service skills are required. This position requires the ability to work independently as well as within groups. Sensitivity to accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism in all areas of support activity is imperative.
Ideal candidate will have 8 years of related security engineering experience with a minimum of 3 years experience as a firewall or network security engineer.
We are looking for a Senior firewall and security administrator for an enterprise Cisco infrastructure including Cisco ASA/FWSM/PIX firewalls, Cisco Network Intrusion Detection/Prevention System , Cisco Monitoring, and Analysis.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations and Maintenance of Cisco Firewalls (ASA, FWSM, PIX), Cisco Security Manager (CSM)
Creating new firewall rules, contexts and VLANS
Support as necessary to act as Tier 3 escalation point
Firewall audit, tuning and lock down
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco security products is a MUST
• Experience in operating and maintaining Cisco IDS/IPS, PIX, ASA, ACS, and MARS in a enterprise environment
• VMware experience a plus
• Strong understanding of routing and switching
• In-depth understand of ports, protocols, and network traffic analysis as it relates to network security
• Experience using troubleshooting technique including but not limited to; network sniffers, syslog, and the Firewall capture command
• Understanding of information security principles as it relates to systems and network security
• Ability to create formal documentation for systems administration, operations, and maintenance
• Understanding of formal processes for change and release management
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical staff as well as less technical colleagues
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
At least one of the following certification is required (two or more are preferred):
o CCNP, CCSP, MSCE, CISSP
