PPR Career, Inc. is in search of a qualified and motivated Network Administrator seeking an exciting, challenging and rewarding career opportunity!
Qualified candidate will have 5-7+ years’ experience functioning as a Network Administrator with experience in installation, operation and repair of IT equipment, day to day operation of a LAN. Candidate will be able to communicate effectively, articulate needs of organization to include project cost, deliverables and expectations.
• Assesses organizational needs and investigates/implements new technologies to meet functional requirements
• Maintaining and testing network and server backups.
o Symantec BackupExec
o Dell LTO Tape Vault
• Extremely well versed and experienced in Active Directory.
o Can centrally manage users through Group Policy
o MS Certs are a plus
• Experience with MS Exchange Server and Barracuda Spam Firewall
• Firewall and VPN experience to include the ability to configure and troubleshoot such devices.
o Cisco 3000 Series VPN Concentrator
o SonicWall Network Security Appliance
• Familiar with SAN (Dell Storage Area Network) MD3000i
• Exposure to Sharepoint and SQL Server
• WSUS – applying and trouble-shooting MS updates
• Firmware upgrade experience on network hardware
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and tools associated with each
o Telnet
o Netsh,
o NSLookup, etc
• Strong documentation experience absolutely required.
• Ability to plan and carry out future network upgrades.
• Performs daily network administration as coordinated through the Network consultant (backup, user administration, network cleanup, email administration, storage management, security)
• Maintains IT equipment inventory system
• Assists staff with website development projects.
o Acts as technical liaison with web developers
